  • How long can I use the dumpster & how many times can Rack N Roll pick it up to empty it?
    When you purchase the dumpster from Rack N Roll, you are able to use it for 30 days. HOWEVER, that only includes one emptying trip by Rack N Roll. So, if before your 30 days has ended and you need the dumpster to be emptied, once Rack N Roll picks up the dumpster the contract is finished. If you wish to continue using the dumpster following that pick-up, a new payment will need to be submitted and a new 30-day period begins.
  • Do I need a permit to rent a dumpster?
    If you currently reside in the city of Fredericksburg, you DO need a permit. You can find the application at the link below. https://www.fredericksburgva.gov/1674/Dumpsters-PODs-Portable-Toilets All other locations do NOT need a permit at this time.
  • How high can I load the inside of the dumpster?
    The contents inside of the dumpster cannot exceed the top lip of the container. If you are loading dirt into the dumpster, it cannot exceed half-way due to weight restrictions.
  • What can I not put into the dumpster?
    The following items CANNOT be placed into the dumpster: - Concrete - Flammable materials - Rocks - Tires - Chemicals - Railroad Ties - Oils, Fuels, & Propane Tanks - Batteries If these items are included inside of the dumpster's contents upon pick-up, an additional fee will be charged.   • How far in advance do I need to rent a dumpster?
    Rack and Roll usually has dumpsters available and can provide one same or next day. If your need for a dumpster is time-sensitive, please contact us for immediate service. You can find our contact information on the Contact Page.
  • What is the maximum weight I can load the dumpster?
    The dumpster cannot exceed 4 tons. The dumpster will be weighed upon pickup. For each ton over the specified limit, a fee of $75 per additional ton will be applied.
  • How long can I use the dumpster?
    Upon signing the contract with Rack and Roll, you will have access to the dumpster for 30 days from the drop-off date. Once the 30 days has ended, the contract will be nullified. If you need to continue using the dumpster, a new contract will need to be signed and initial fees paid.
  • Will the dumpster damage my property?
    As a rule of thumb, Rack and Roll does not deliver the dumpster onto driveways or sidewalks to avoid the possibility of damage. However, we can do so upon request. Rack and Roll is not responsible for any damages caused to the property by the dumpster.
  • What if I damage the dumpster?
    Upon dumpster pick-up, if there is notable damage to the dumpster, a fee will be applied to the final total. The fee will be subject to the severity of the damage.
  • Can I walk materials into the dumpster?
    Yes! There is a door leading into the dumpster.
